Submit Project Support Proposal - FEMS

Submit Project Support Proposal

Do you have a project that you would like support for? If so, find out below how FEMS could help your project.

We have been working together with our Member Societies to support and increase the impact of a variety of activities, such as International Microorganism Day with the Portuguese Society of Microbiology, and the #EUROmicroMOOCs with the Spanish Society for Microbiology, which has now published details of its results.

What support is available?

  • the use of our network to support with promotion, communication, and digital media
  • connecting your project with experts, researchers, freelancers, and administrators
  • support and advice with recruitment of volunteers and on volunteer management

Who can apply?

You can apply for support if you are a member of one of our Member Societies. These proposals will be reviewed by our Board to see which could be incorporated into the delivery programme.

How does it work?

Submit your project proposal through this form.

These proposals will then be reviewed by FEMS Board of Directors who will determine which proposal will be accepted into our delivery programme.

When will I know if I am successful? When will the support for my project begin?

If successful, support for this project will begin in the year after the proposal is made and last for an initial period of 1 year. Assessment by the Board will then be made to determine whether continuation of support is suitable further.

FEMS Journals and Open Access

Embracing an Open Future

All but one of the FEMS journals are now fully open access (OA), with one journal, FEMS Microbiology Letters remaining a subscription journal with free-to-publish and OA options. Open access is key to supporting the FEMS mission of disseminating high quality research as widely as possible: when high quality, peer reviewed sound science is open access, anyone, anywhere in the world with an internet connection, can read it.
