Since January 1st, applications are open for the new FEMS Industry Placement Grants (IPG).

With this new scheme, FEMS wants to support Early Career Scientists* gain experience in industry and further their career.

All industries can be considered (including non-laboratory work), as long as relevant for microbiology. Applicants need to be a member of one of FEMS Member Societies and currently not employed by the industry they apply for a stay.

*ECS have obtained their highest degree less than five years prior to the application deadline date or are PhD students. Periods of maternity/paternity leave, special leave or illness do not count toward this definition.
