With sadness we heard of the passing of Dr Geoff Robson. We had the pleasure of knowing him as FEMS Delegate for IBBS as well as member of the Editorial Board of FEMS Microbiology Ecology. He was a senior lecturer focusing on Ecology of fungal soil and compost communities, degradation of polymers, enzyme activities and secretomes and had been President of both the British Mycological Society and the International Biodeterioration and Biodegradation Society (IBBS). Our thoughts go out to family and friends at this difficult time.
