The FEMS Conference on Microbiology took place on the 29 June – 2 July 2022 in Belgrade, Serbia. Members of our academy attended the conference and gave lectures about their research.

• EAM president, Jörg Vogel, gave a Plenary Lecture on “Programmable RNA antibiotics for health; disease and ecology”
• Stipan Jonjić participated at the Round Table: One Health Paradigm: COVID 19 – Lessons learned and gave a lecture on “Immunization against SARS-CoV-2 using alternative routes and virus vectors”
• Antonio Ventosa gave a lecture on “Insights into prokaryotic diversity in hypersaline soils”
• Mikhail Gelfand gave a lecture on “Lecture – Evolution of bacterial genomes”
