We are pleased to announce that an organization that we endorse – World Alliance Against Antibiotic Resistance (WAAAR) – has won 3^rd prize in the EU Health Award. Their winning initiative focused not only on antimicrobial resistance (AMR) to antibiotics, but also covered the prevention of Ebola and protection from AMR in the context of AIDS.

26 candidate NGOs were considered for the European Commission’s EU Health Award last year, which aimed to recognize and reward the achievements of European NGOs for promoting outstanding good practices in reducing the threat to human health from AMR.
