FEMS 2017 is on the horizon, and will be bringing together microbiologists from across the globe to showcase the best of microbiology. This is a great event to be at the heart of cutting edge microbiology research.

We are delighted to create a Virtual Special Issue for you ahead of the Congress with seven of our Member Societies.

This issue will showcase a collection of articles published from these participating Member Societies in their respective journals, and is a sneak peak of what to expect at the Congress this July. We hope you enjoy this Virtual Special Issue and join us in celebrating the important role that microorganisms play in our everyday lives.

We have worked closely with seven of them to give you this joint special issue to show off some of the exciting research that is happening in our network.
