The FEMS Journals have announced the winners of  their 2021 Article Awards. We are extremely happy to share that two of these articles have co-authors that are members of our academy! Our congratulations to Bruno Lemaitre and Julian Parkhill!

The selection of the best articles published in 2021 was carried out by the Editors-in-Chief and Editorial Boards of each journal, and the winning articles received an award of €1,000 which is split equally between all the authors.

Bruno Lemaitre was co-author in the best microLife article for 2021 “The iron transporter Transferrin 1 mediates homeostasis of the endosymbiotic relationship between Drosophila melanogaster and Spiroplasma poulsonii”.
