We are delighted to welcome Prof Justin Nodwell as a new editor for FEMS Microbiology Reviews.

As the Chair of Biochemistry at the University of Toronto, Canada, Prof Justin Nodwell is a specialist in antibiotic discovery and research. He served as principal investigator at McMaster University, Canada from 1998 to 2013 where he worked in the chemical genomics of sporulation and specialized metabolism of the streptomycetes, with emphasis on antibiotic discovery. Now based at the University of Toronto, Prof Justin Nodwell’s laboratory use chemical genomics for discovering and elucidating the mechanisms of action of antibiotics against prokaryotic and eukaryotic organisms.
