Check out our new teaching initiative, just launched by Microbiology at NUI Galway, Ireland: 40 instructional videos, of ~5-8 mins in length, each demonstrating a different laboratory technique in microbiology.

Methods range from basic plate pouring and culturing, through microbiological and biochemical identification tests, to DNA and protein analysis techniques.

They are freely available on a dedicated YouTube channel at Microbiology teaching videos at NUI Galway.

and we are happy to offer them to all students and researchers in microbiology and biological sciences as an aid in their work.

There’s also an introductory video to give a flavour of the project. Feel free to incorporate into your teaching / work, and to flag to colleagues who may wish to use this video-learning resource.
